A glute workout you can do at home

You do not need a gym to start. Use stable household equipment, choose variations that challenge you safely, and make one measurable part harder over time.

The workout

  1. 1. Glute bridge: 3 sets of 12–20.
  2. 2. Step-up: 3 sets of 8–12 per side.
  3. 3. Rear-foot-elevated split squat: 3 sets of 8–12 per side.
  4. 4. Banded clamshell or side-lying leg lift: 2 sets of 12–20 per side.

Make home training harder

First add controlled reps. Then add a pause, increase range of motion, choose a single-leg variation, or use a securely held backpack or band. Do not trade stability or pain-free movement for difficulty.

Start with the complete schedule

The free four-week plan organizes these movements into two weekly sessions and saves your completed workouts locally.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can home glute workouts build muscle?

They can when the exercises remain challenging and progress over time. Bands, added load, single-leg variations, tempo, and range of motion can extend home training.

Do I need resistance bands?

No. A stable chair or step and bodyweight are enough to begin. Bands make some movements easier to load progressively.
